Busy Aletheia Weekend

It’s Monday morning and I know that there are some tired Aletheia folks out there. We had a crazy and fun weekend with a jam packed schedule.
On Friday, we held our third ever concert at Aletheia Church. The line up on Friday was Dreaming of Eden, The War, The Season, and Point of Honor. All [...]

JMU parents, Max-capacity, and fried chicken

As you can see from the title, it was a somewhat ordinary day at Aletheia…other than the parents and fried chicken part of course. But, as you guys know, we do love to eat at Aletheia. We just did a little more of that (and a little more unhealthy) yesterday. What a day it was! [...]

Football and Aletheia

A wild weekend in Harrisonburg culminated with a James Madison University football victory on Saturday night against the number 1 ranked team in Division 1AA Appalachian State (well…number 1 no more), as well as an incredibly amazing worship experience at Aletheia yesterday morning.
I have never seen so much purple and gold in my life then [...]

It has begun…

So it’s official, the freshmen at JMU have all moved in and many of them were waiting at the “Godwin” bus stop yesterday morning to be picked up to come out to Aletheia. It was awesome! In total we had 81 first time guests who filled out our information cards. It was an incredible day [...]

Yesterday

It was a great day yesterday. I think our marketing campaign this past week proved to be a success. We probably had close to 40 visitors. And that is saying a lot because the students are not yet back in town.
If you missed out on Pastor Dave’s Bible study then you missed a good one. [...]

Glow sticks…at Aletheia?

So, to say that yesterday’s worship experience at Aletheia was amazing would be the understatement of all understatements!
We started our newest series called “Light Me Up” and it was so much fun. We added a few new creative elements that put it over the top. To me it was the best creative environment our awesome [...]

Independence weekend

This weekend was a lot of fun for those of us that were around Harrisonburg. The long weekend was much needed for me I know and I’m sure a lot of you felt the same way.

We had an awesome activity on Friday at the original Aletheia headquarters (Pastor Dave and Chippy’s crib). About 50 [...]

Thoughts from Sunday on Monday v 2.0

After a day like yesterday it makes it very easy for me to write a blog because I am so excited. We didn’t do anything special per say for the worship experience, but God sure did. He did His thing by moving mightily in this place and it was humbling to [...]

Thoughts from Sunday on Monday

The worship experience yesterday was one of the most inspiring events I have been a part of in a while. I was once again reminded that it doesn’t take a whole lot of people to gather together for the Holy Spirit to be present. About 200 faithful people came together yesterday on a hot June [...]

Aletheia’s vision

Hey all,
We had a great weekend at Aletheia. Thanks to all of you who came out to be a part of the worship experience on Sunday. Our summer crowd is continuing to grow each passing year. It’s funny that what started out to be just a college church has turned into a multi-generational community of [...]
