It’s kind of a big day
In relation to what is going on at Aletheia Tampa, today, August 23rd, 2009, is the biggest day in the history of the church. After four months of being on campus and connecting with people, we will be officially launching our services tonight on USF’s campus. We haven’t really promoted this as a grand opening type of event, but everyone knows that this is the beginning of Aletheia Tampa. Today will always mark the start of the church. It’s crazy to think that just over four and a half months ago, Ashlee and I were just arriving to Tampa. God has been so faithful to us. We’ve seen over 30 people commit their lives to Jesus for the first time. We’ve had baptisms. We’ve seen our core group grow tremendously. And God has even provided in other ways with a brand spankin’ new sound system for the band to rock out through, and resources to pay for our meeting room on campus and all of our printed materials.
We have vigorously invited people and are hopefully anticipating God to bring out a nice group tonight. Please pray for our ministry tonight on this momentous day. We need you to do so. I believe God wants to do some incredible things this evening. What a privilege it is to serve Him. I can’t wait to see what he does.
Here’s a picture of our dress-rehearsal on Tuesday. Picture a stage, the full band, and people who are ready to be true worshipers of Jesus. Should be pretty fun.

Hey Aaron,
You guys are going to do great!! Take Tampa!
