This past week has been a crazy week to say the least. Seeing as though I have not blogged for 9 days now, this would prove that point. I am so sorry that i have not provided updates for everyone over the span of the last week and a half. But let me tell you, we’ve seen some incredible things take place.

First of all, today is Ashlee and my fourth wedding anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been four years. And like I told my beautiful bride yesterday, I feel this way not because the time has flown by, but because it seems like a lifetime ago that we got married on that cold and rainy May day. We have been through so much since that time, experienced so much, that it can’t only be just four years ago that we were married. But it’s true and I am so grateful for every moment spent with my wife.

Aletheia Tampa is officially rolling. We are seeing God do so much. We have been here just over eight weeks and in that time, amazing things have taken place. About a dozen people have entrusted their lives to Christ. We have started two city groups (our version of small groups) and both of these are growing. Our large group gathering has grown every week since we have arrived (which is just baffling to a church planter), and being on campus now has helped with that. The culmination of this was Monday night’s get-together. It really is starting to feel like a church. And God just continues to get creative. We are getting kicked out of our room on campus this week due to Memorial Day, so instead, we’ve had some people step up to get baptized at the beach that day. For us, Memorial Day will consist of a day at the beach, grilling out, hanging out, and dunking people. It’s going to be incredible!

So that is our week condensed in a few sentences. So much more has happened as well. God continues to add to our team as the latest Aletheia Harrisonburg addition Suzi arrived to Tampa on Sunday. We need all the help we can get. The rest of our other dozen team members or so will hopefully arrive sometime mid-summer or early fall. I can’t wait for them to see what God is doing. Just like Suzie told me on Monday night “This is way different than what I expected!”
