Football and Aletheia
A wild weekend in Harrisonburg culminated with a James Madison University football victory on Saturday night against the number 1 ranked team in Division 1AA Appalachian State (well…number 1 no more), as well as an incredibly amazing worship experience at Aletheia yesterday morning.
I have never seen so much purple and gold in my life then what I saw on Saturday. It was crazy! Ashlee and I didn’t have tickets but we drove through the madness on several occasions throughout the evening and heard the cannons explode as JMU mounted that incredible second half comeback. Go Dukes!
I must admit that the excitement of the football game didn’t quite compare to the excitement of yesterday’s worship experience at Aletheia. We had a lot of fun yesterday. The last worship set was unbelievable. I have never heard that many voices being lifted up that loudly and passionately in all my years of worship leading. It was memorable. The message was on point. Pastor Dave focused on prayer and it was so encouraging and challenging. Hit up the pod cast this week to hear it again or, for the first time if you missed out.

What up Prof. Glad to hear you guys had a great weekend. Sports and Worship. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Second that dude. This weekend was perhaps one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Duke win + Redskin win + a Sunday morning at Aletheia = Bliss of an unfathomable degree. Yeah!
