Thoughts from Sunday on Monday v 2.0

After a day like yesterday it makes it very easy for me to write a blog because I am so excited. We didn’t do anything special per say for the worship experience, but God sure did. He did His thing by moving mightily in this place and it was humbling to be a part of it all.

First of all our largest summer crowd ever came out to be a part of the worship experience. About half of them came 15 minutes late. But at this point I’m not concerned with that anymore. The first worship set was amazing, albeit broken up at times because of the hoards of people that kept coming through those doors throughout the entirety of the set. But it was still incredible…the passion, the energy, and the voices being raised made for an unforgettable experience.

Then, came the message. Pastor Dave continued with the “Reset” theme by teaching out of Is. 59 and reminding us all of the casualties that result because of our transgressions…truth, justice, righteousness, accuracy, and did I say truth.

Finally, the second worship set. We ended with “Take It All” by United and I’ve got to tell you, I’ve never seen so many fists being pumped at one time in God;s house. It felt more like a heavy metal concert than a worship service. It was Awesome with a capital A.

We are now anxiously awaiting the return of the college students this fall and wondering where in the world we are going to seat everyone. Thank goodness that the Harrisonburg city manager is on our leadership team. He may have some ideas :)

Have a great week.
