Update on future church plants

Posted: 9th January 2008 by ap in Update

Pastor Dave, Ace, and Speedy headed up to Washington DC this morning to do some probing work for some possible church plants in that area within the coming year. They will be checking out a couple of the major Universitities within our nation’s capital and seeing how feasible it would be to begin working towards the next aletheia church plant. Please pray for them as they travel and figure out how to get around up there (as it can be very tricky). Also pray that God will really open up some incredible doors today for them as they seek to realize what God’s desire is for Aletheia Church’s involvement in Washington DC. We feel have been given the incredible responsibility in 2008 to do God’s work in (as the internationals always tell us) the most powerful city in the most powerful country in the world. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!

Also, this past weekend, the pastor of the future church plant at ODU in Norfolk, Jamie Limato and our very own Alan Sheriff (who just got engaged I might add..congrats dude) took a probing trip to Norfolk this past weekend. They were able to accomplish a lot in the three days thay were there including a vast demographic study to figure out who they would be ministering to. They made many connections that will help them as they begin the work this coming summer especially with getting the campus organization going and finding a strategic location to live. Pray that God will continue to prepare the way for our team as the time gets closer and closer for them to move and begin serving God in that area. Also pray for more strategic people to come alongside Jamie and Alan and be a part of the new plant in Norfolk.

Thanks!

Have a great day.
