How’s everyone doing this week? I hope that all is well. It was great to worship with you guys this past Sunday at Aletheia once again after a week away. For those of you who came out, I’m sure you went away very encouraged and uplifted after the band melted your faces off with some rock and Pastor Dave talked about “Life’s Biggest Question.” If you missed the teaching you can always hear it on i-tunes or at www.aletheiachurch.com. The band also put up a live song from Sunday morning on their myspace page (www.myspace.com/aletheiaband) so please check that out when you have a chance.

I love God’s Word and I hope you do also. In my personal time I have been reading through the book of Colossians. There are a lot of little nuggets that I have come across and today I was reading chapter 3, and verse 17 really stuck out to me. The verse says “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” This verse is great because it is talking about consistency. I definitely am not consistent a lot of times in making sure that everything that I am doing (whether words or actions) is being dedicated to God. Examples of this inconsistency may include not giving God time throughout our day, mistreating those around us, falling into the same bad habits, not being people of our word, saying one thing and doing another etc… I think you guys get the picture. Let’s be consistent people this week and allow God to really effectively use us for His glory.

On a side note, speaking of Colossians, who’s coming out tonight to Aletheia mid-week to hear Ace continue his study in Colossians chapter 2? If you have not been out to the Wednesday evening experience, tonight should be your night. Not only will you get a good dose of the Word of God, but you’ll get to worship with Aletheia’s Wed. evening band. Hope to see you out.
