What a week it was.
Hey people,
This past week was an incredibly busy one and I am just now recuperating from all of the events. Looking back on it now, I am asking myself how we were able to cram so much into one week.
Some of the hi-lights of the week include freshman move-in days at JMU last Tuesday and Wednesday. That was a circus and for those of you who joined the aletheia moving company on those days, you know what I am talking about. We did have some fun though especially when we got caught in that huge rain storm and the flood gates of heaven opened up…WOW!
We were also able to be a part of a freshman orientation event on VCU’s campus on Wednesday in Richmond. The band rocked the commons as others stood at an Aletheia display table and talked to people about the campus organization and about God. It was great to encourage our people in Richmond who are doing God’s work daily. The band then continued it’s Richmond mini-tour by making stops in Carson on Friday and Louisa on Saturday. Those were some of the greatest moments we have ever had as a band as we saw 3 or 4 people make decisions for God and not to mention melt people’s faces off with some rock. It was pretty sweet playing with Speedy and Rob again as well.
The week was capped off by an amzing Sunday morning worship experience at the Aletheia building. It was pretty exciting to see all of the new faces with the start of the fall semester finally here. I heard that this year’s freshman class at JMU is the biggest ever with over 4,000 new students. To us, that translates into 4,000 possible world changers for Jesus. We had so much fun meeting new people on Sunday and the band rocked some Hillsong, Jeremy Camp, and Todd Agnew tunes. Pastor Dave’s message was once again very challenging as he talked about having an authentic and genuine relationship with God which ended by honoring God through Communion. Lives were touched and hopefully we all were challenged to be real with God.
If you missed out on this past week, please don’t miss this Sunday. We hope to see you.
God bless!
your friend and brother,
aaron
