Well, this blog thing is new to me and I am glad that it is new to Aletheia church as well so at least here at the beginning I know there won’t be that many readers. As I have been thinking about what unbelievably profound topic I should talk about in the first ever “aletheia church blog,” nothing has really struck me at this point. So, I come back to what God HAS impressed upon me to write about this week. And that is what Aletheia church really is…YOU. YOU are the church of the body of Christ. YOU are the instrument that God chose to allow Aletheia to exist, with Himself being the chief cornerstone. YOU have labored and toiled over the last (almost) 6 years to see God’s kingdom expanded in the cities of Harrisonburg, Richmond, and all over the world. It is YOU that brings joy to my heart and makes me realize how completely blessed I am to be a part of this great ministry that has impacted so many lives over the years.

So, who are YOU? YOU are Jay, Erin, Halterman and Rob, who have been here since the beginning. YOU are Brandon who has sacrificed so many countless hours as if you were a full-time staff member, yet not receiving a penny, nor ever complaining. YOU are Ace, Speedy, and Graham, who a lot of times, have to put all of your other responsibilities on the back burner in order to serve God. YOU are Mur-dog, who has saved Aletheia from certain financial ruin over the years with your always savvy business mind. YOU are Jer-bear, who makes any building project look like a middle-school woodshop project. YOU are April who week in and week out view the kids of aletheia as the priority over anything else. YOU are Melissa who makes sure that never (not once) has anyone ever left aletheia in the morning on an empty stomach. YOU are Ann who, no matter what, always has a smile on your face. YOU are Thick who is just a beautiful man. YOU are Jorge, who makes sure that people get greeted with love when they walk through the doors. YOU are D-dub who makes it so we never have to worry about having an mc for any event. YOU are Big Game and Pipes who, anytime there is heavy lifting to be done, you’re always there to save the day. YOU are Jeff and Angie, who serve the rest of us into the ground. YOU are Thomas who has a serious passion for ministry at such a young age. YOU are Cowgill who represents one of the most awesome changes in a life that this town has ever seen. YOU are the staff and interns Jenny, Carrie, Sheriff, Byrd, Foo, Jordan, Sam, and Kaitlin who answer the call of duty every day of your lives. And the list goes on and on and on…

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. I love you all.
